GALLERY MoMo Projects is pleased to present the “Stories Within the Landscape” group exhibition from Saturday, April 12 to Saturday, May 24. This exhibition features three artists—Yu Ichino, Aeri Park, and Momoko Yamada—who employ various techniques such as printmaking and painting to depict works in which reality and memory, personal perspectives, and universal scenes intersect.
Through the memories and time embedded in each of their works and their unique personal viewpoints, Ichino presents landscapes of narratives where past and present intersect and unfold; Yamada offers narrative landscapes through the interplay of color and imagery; and Park expresses landscapes rooted in records and memories. Together, they provide viewers with an experience akin to weaving their own stories through these perspectives. We invite you to enjoy the exhibition.
Yu Ichino
Born in 1985 in Kanagawa Prefecture. Graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, Painting and Printmaking Course, Tokyo Zokei University in 2014. Received the Collection Prize at the 37th Annual University Print Exhibition (Machida City Museum of Graphic Arts) in 2012 and an Honorable Mention at the 10th Kochi International Triennial Exhibition of Prints in 2017.
While primarily working with lithographs, Ichino creates uniquely deep landscapes through layers of paper and acrylic boards. In recent years, he has also produced works that visualize the passage of time, drawing inspiration from old photographs and memories of his father. Delicate and poetic landscape works of this kind will be exhibited in the current show.
Aeri Park
Born in 1992 in Tokyo, raised in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. Graduated in 2021 from Musashino Art University, Department of Oil Painting, Printmaking Course. She will complete her master's degree in the Graduate School of Art and Design, Printmaking Course at the same university in 2025, and is currently enrolled in the Doctoral Program in Fine Arts at the Graduate School.
She received the Excellence Award at the 8th Yamamoto Kanae Print Grand Prize Exhibition in 2021 and the Loro Piana Award for Promising Female Artist at the 67th CWAJ Contemporary Print Exhibition in 2024. She will participate in the 4th PATinKyoto Kyoto Print Triennale 2025, opening on April 15.
Through copperplate printmaking, Park explores her roots, sublimating personal memories and experiences into artworks. In pieces featuring motifs such as her grandmother’s photos or childhood scenery, private memories are transformed into universal narratives through copperplate techniques. In this exhibition, unlike her past works, she presents pieces themed on more familiar landscapes. Her series, rendered in delicate etched lines and gradations, evokes memories unique to each viewer.
Momoko Yamada
Born in 1995. Graduated in 2021 from the Department of Painting, Oil Painting Course, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. Completed her master’s in 2023 in the Printmaking Program, Department of Painting, Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts.
She received the Excellence Award at the 45th Annual University Print Exhibition in 2020.
Using two distinct techniques—copperplate printmaking and cloisonné enamel—Yamada creates narrative expression through a long and layered process involving an interplay between images and words. Within her works, a unique set of rules constructed by color and form unfolds into a world different from reality. In this exhibition, she presents mainly paintings, offering viewers a chance to experience her original narrative universe.
GALLERY MoMo Projectsでは、4月12日（土）から5月24日（土）までグループ展「風景の中の物語」を開催いたします。本展では、市野悠、朴愛里、山田桃子の3名のアーティストが、版画やペインティングなど多様な手法を用い、現実と記憶、個人的な視点と普遍的な情景が交錯する作品を展示いたします。
それぞれの作品の中に潜む記憶や時間、個人的な視点を交えながら、市野が描く過去と現在が交差し展開される物語の風景、山田の色彩とイメージの往復による物語的な世界の風景、朴の記録と記憶に根ざした風景表現が交差し、鑑賞者それぞれの視点で物語を紡ぐような体験を提供します。ぜひご高覧ください。
市野 悠
1985年神奈川県生まれ。2014年に東京造形大学美術学科絵画版画表現指標を卒業。2012年第37回全国大学版画展（町田市立国際版画美術館）で収蔵賞、2017年第10回高知国際版画トリエンナーレ展で佳作賞を受賞。
市野は、石版画を中心に制作しながらも、紙やアクリル板の重なりによって生まれる独特な奥行きのある風景を描き出します。
近年では、自身の父親の古い写真や記憶をもとに、時間の経過を可視化する作品にも取り組んでいます。本展でも、そうした繊細で詩的な風景作品を展示します。
朴 愛里
1992年東京生まれ、韓国京畿道育ち。2021年武蔵野美術大学造形学部油絵学科版画専攻卒業、2025年同大学院造形研究科修士課程美術専攻版画コース修了、同大学院造形研究科博士後期課程造形芸術専攻作品制作領域入学。2021年には、「第8回山本鼎版画大賞展」で優秀賞、2024年には、「第67回CWAJ現代版画展」でロロ・ピアーナ女性アーティスト奨励賞を受賞。4月15日から開催される第4回PATinKyoto京都版画トリエンナーレ2025に参加します。
朴は、銅版画を通じて自身のルーツをたどるように、記憶や個人的な経験を作品に昇華させてきました。祖母の写真や幼少期の風景をモチーフにした作品では、私的な記憶が銅版画の技法によって普遍的な物語へと変換されています。本展では、これまでの作品とは異なり、より身近な風景をテーマとした作品を発表。エッチングによる繊細な線と濃淡が、鑑賞者それぞれの記憶を呼び起こすような作品群となっています。
山田 桃子
1995年生まれ。2021年東京藝術大学美術学部絵画科油画専攻卒業、2023年東京藝術大学大学院美術研究科絵画専攻版画研究分野修了。2020年第45回全国大学版画展にて優秀賞受賞。
山田は、銅版画と七宝焼という異なる技法を用いながら、時間をかけて積み重ねられる制作プロセスの中で、絵と言葉の往復によって物語性を生み出します。作品の中には、色彩や形によって構築された独自のルールがあり、現実とは異なるもうひとつの世界が広がっています。本展では、ペインティング作品を中心に展示し、山田が生み出す独自の物語世界を体感していただきます。
