GALLERY MoMo was established in 2003 at Roppongi, Tokyo and has opened new space in 2008 at Ryogoku, Tokyo for the lager space. For a space of finding new young Japanese and international artists and curators, GALLERY MoMo at Roppongi has reopened as GALLERY MoMo Projects in 2013.
Mainly, GALLERY MoMo represents Japanese artists who were born in 1970’s and 1980’s, capture their real mental situations and express the present days through their own style. The gallery believes the worlds the artists depicted have connections with global worlds.
The mission of the gallery is to introduce the international artists who have unique concepts and original styles to Japan and the Japanese artists to other countries.
